E, my favorite little sister is pregnant ! They weren't trying (I know... really not fair for a lot of us...) but they both are extatic about the news !







They did a home pregnancy test and it turned pink while she was still peeing on it... But still, she had her doubts so she sent me a picture... Dah...







** a doctor confirmed the news that same day... They are definitely expecting. Yep , she is the dumass who didn't know she was expecting, even though she is 15 weeks into it... She is actually due for August 14...

Hiding...

Yep, that's what I'll been doing. I'll hide out from most everyone. Text messages, IMs, emails, voicemails...I'll be ignoring most everyone so I can think. Away from everyone. Away from everything. Except myself.

See, I've been doing a gig for the past year or so that required me to complete a fitness evaluation : steps , sit-ups , push-ups and grip tests. Easy. Or so I tought... Today was my last and final trial. And I failed. Miserably.

Steps ? Check

Sit-ups ? Check

Grip ? Check

Push-ups ? Nahhhhhhhhhhhh

I've been training real hard for that test and was sooo confident but I froze. Again. The same thing happened the last time as well ! What's wrong with me ?? I can play in front of thousand of people and not have an ounce of stress. But doing Push-ups in front of a single boring instructor ? Scares the shit out of me ; makes me physically AND mentally sick.

What's up with that ?

At home ??

Well, I've come to the conclusion tonight that I definitely need to get my act together and move. Soon.









I've been living with a new roommate for a couple of weeks now ; we get along just fine and have quite easily adjusted to our different schedules and likes and dislikes. But I don't feel "at home". His house is pretty far from the city life that I enjoy so much ; a small detail, one could say but I really miss my old appartment and my old roommate. We had a blast together and I never felt I was in "his space". Not so much for my new living arrangements...









See, the new roommate has a girlfriend. Pretty unenventless, I know. I actually work with her and she is very nice I should say. But things beetween them haven't been that rosy lately and I often find myself stuck in the basement using the internet or in my room, in order to let them some "couple" time. He never asked me such a thing ; I just don't feel the need to be in that part of their life. So for the past 3 hours, I've been killing time on the internet. Not bad for someone who had absolutely nothing to do tonight. But all I really wanted to do was to tackilly watch the Golden Globes and eat popcorn. Is that too much to ask ?

This is my list of things I would like to do before I'm 30. (only a couple of months away... I'm pretty much screwed ! )





In no particular order...





1. Learn to balance my checkbook.



2. Pay off my student loans, (or put a big dent in them).



3. Fall in love.



4. Learn to take a compliment.



5. Fly first class.



6. Exercise regularly.



7. Participate in Habitat for Humanity.



8. Travel overseas (Africa, Australia, Asia...)



9. Learn to think before I speak.



10. Learn a new language.

I'm the black sheep of the family !










That is indeed my father's conclusion. See, all of my sisters, all four of them, are now married ; which is, apparently, the Summum of one's life. I, on the other end, am single, living with a gay roommate and a professional musician... Even though I've been a WORKING professional musician for a couple of years now, he is still begging me to find a REAL job ; one that would include a desk, a 9 to 5 schedule, a long commute and that would require me to dress like a lady. Hum... not happening. I am not about to rush into getting married with one of the sooo many creeps that I seem to attrack and I love my job ! I am lucky enought to have found a real passion and be able to make a decent living out of it. I love my everchanging schedule ; know what ? I got up at 10h00 this morning ; did a good 3 hours practice session, gave 3 lessons and yep ! I made the same salary as my oh ! so-bored-married-sisters... How about that ??

You damn know its time to go back to work when you end up crying while watching Baby Story on TLC...






I'm exited about the new year though... Got two additionnal contracts as a trumpet specialist; which means new schools... which means new MALE teachers... preferably new single male teachers... interresting...






I do like the fact that I am single ; I like the freedom of it. My last relationship was a HUGE disaster so the break is more than welcome. But I am getting older and my biological clock is starting to show... not ticking ; just on a shelf beside me . I am also tired of hearing those stupid questions at family gatherings. " so... are you seing anyone special ? "





I just wish I had the guts to answer : " Nope... So... How's your sex life ? "

Resolutions for 2006...

That time of the year again ! So here we go...








For 2006, I will:

- Be friend, and ONLY friend, with my best friend...








- Do my best to loose those 20... hum 40 extra pounds








- Learn to say NO








- Learn how to decode those " I'm here waiting for you" with flashing neon signs








- Try to be more patient while driving







- Have a better screening system, guys wise... Definitely...
